Shastri nominates Kohli for PadMan challenge

Team India’s head coach Ravi Shastri accepted the PadMan challenge on Tuesday and post his photo, holding a sanitary napkin, on his social media account. He nominated Indian skipper Virat Kohli to come out and break this taboo.

Akshay Kumar’s upcoming movie Pad Man will release on February 9 worldwide, where he is playing the role of a man, who supplied free pads to poor women in his nearby villages. In order to promote the film, Akshay makes a chain to spread awareness about this issue.

From PV Sindhu to Amir Khan, several celebrities have accepted this challenge and nominated three others. Shastri took some time from his busy schedule and posted one photo on Twitter and wrote “Yes, it’s a Pad in my hand. Happy to support rockstar Akshay Kumar for breaking the taboo and initiating an open conversation.”

“AK, am sure no ball is going to hit PAD (MAN). #PadManChallenge Here I challenge @imVkohli @SinghaniaGautam @Leander,” he further added.

Kohli has been nominated by several celebrities but he is yet to come out and accept this challenger, while Shastri is the latest man to nominate him.
