“The Prime Minister will take a 7 a.m. flight to Kolkata, inaugurate the match and return to Dhaka on the same evening. She likes Sourav a lot and as the invite came from him, the Prime Minister decided to inaugurate the match,” Ihsanul Karim, the press secretary told The Hindu.

Earlier, Sourav Ganguly had talked about the Day-Night Test and also discussed the proposal with India captain Virat Kohli and as soon as Kohli agreed to that, BCCI president sent the proposal to BCB. However, Bangladesh are all set to take on India in three-match T20I series and two tests as well, starting from November 3.
