The 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has been conducted with teams and officials in a bio-bubble with strict protocols in place. However, India is witnessing a surge in the Covid-19 cases in the country in the second wave of the pandemic, which has been wreaking havoc. However, cricketers like Pat Cummins and Sheldon Jackson have come forward to come forward and donate towards enhancing the healthcare facilities in the country.
It all started with KKR fast bowler, Pat Cummins donating a huge amount of $ 50,000 to the PM CARES Fund and now another KKR player, Sheldon Jackson has generously donated an undisclosed amount to help the country fight against the pandemic.
Jackson has made a donation to the Gautam Gambhir Foundation and has praised them for helping the needy and suffering people during these tough times. He released a statement on his Instagram story in which he has also urged other people to any possible amount and help India recover from the pandemic.

In his statement, Sheldon Jackson wrote: “In these difficult times for our beloved country, my heart goes out to everyone who is suffering. I pray that the good times return sooner rather than later. I request you all to please follow the SOPs as directed by the authorities, please stay home as much as possible and wear your masks at all times when you step outside.”
He further added, “I have made a humble contribution towards the Gautam Gambhir Foundation (GGF) who are doing an excellent job in helping as many people as possible. I urge you all to do the same and donate whatever amount you can to your trusted fund or organization as every rupee counts the fight against COVID-19. Please stay safe and stay healthy!”

Currently, Sheldon Jackson has been part of the KKR camp in the ongoing season of the IPL, but he has;t played a name for the team. His impressive performances in domestic cricket earned him his second IPL contract with the franchise and will be eagerly waiting to play for the team.
