Veteran India player Shikhar Dhawan has recently shared a hilarious Instagram reel on social media, where his father Mohinder Paul Dhawan was seen hilariously beating him as his side the Punjab Kings failed to reach the IPL 2022 Playoffs. Notably, Gujarat Titans, Rajasthan Royals, Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore have qualified for the playoffs.
However, the tournament witnessed a 10-team battle and the six teams that were eliminated from the group stage were Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Punjab Kings, Delhi Capitals and SunRisers Hyderabad. And, Shikhar Dhawan was a part of the Punjab Kings team as well. Punjab had a moderate series as they missed out on a spot in the playoffs by just two points. Shikhar Dhawan was one of the key players for the Punjab Kings, but couldn’t help his side as well.

Meanwhile, Shikhar Dhawan has shared the video on Instagram and captioned it as follows: “Knock out by my dad for not qualifying for knock outs.” Gaurav Kapoor commented: “Hahahahahaha full performer family.” Even Dhawan’s PBKS teammate Harpreet Brar had a laugh in the comments box. The background music is of a Hindi dialogue, where the actor says: “I will not leave you today.”

However, after their final league game, Mayank Agarwal said: “It’s going to be sore, probably going for an X-ray now. They never expected a no-ball, so he wasn’t ready. I asked him (Malik) whether he was wearing a protective gear and he shouldn’t get hurt. There are a lot of positives for us. The way Livingstone batted, Dhawan played well. Bairstow since the time he started to open. If we go out there and play the kind of cricket we play, we can do well in the next season. We couldn’t stitch two back-to-back wins. We lost wickets in a cluster, and that at times derailed us. We have played an aggressive brand of cricket over all. We are going to sit and discuss now after the IPL. We were here to get two points and we were here to enjoy ourselves.”
