The veteran Indian opener, Shikhar Dhawan is arguably one of the most successful openers in Indian cricket. It’s always difficult to hide him on the field and his ‘Kabaddi’ celebration’ after making a century or grabbing a catch is something that makes his fans go crazy.
Dhawan made his international debut against Australia and got out for a duck, but the days changed for him after his Test debut where he scored a brilliant 187 against Australia and since then he became a regular face of Team India in limited-overs. Recently, a promo of a TV show “Aap Ki Adalat” rolled out, in which he acknowledged that when it comes to cricket, he focus reaches to another level. He discussed his nervousness ahead of making debut for India and at that moment his naughty-side had taken a backseat then.

When anchor Rajat Sharma asked him about his hobbies. The southpaw accepted that he does like to do Shayari but unlike normal people he like being a hairdresser for his fellow teammates. Dhawan is seen reminiscing his childhood days, acknowledging that he used to hide crackers in letterboxes of his neighbors! He also imitated his trademark thigh-five celebration for the fans present in the show.
Rajat also asked Dhawan about his tweet going against former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi. Dhawan replied by saying that he didn’t like the tweet by the Pakistani all-rounder and replying to the tweets of Pakistan cricketers is his new hobby. Shikhar has always known to be an outspoken cricketer, who never backs when it is about his nation.

In the past, Afridi tweeted over the situation in Kashmir, “Appalling and worrisome situation ongoing in the ‘Indian Occupied Kashmir’. Innocents being shot down by oppressive regime to clamp voice of self -determination, and independence. Wonder where are the UN and other international bodies and why aren’t they making efforts to stop this bloodshed?”.

Replying to the same, Dhawan had tweeted: “Pehle khudke desh ki haalat sudharo. Apni soch apne paas rakho. Apne desh ka joh hum kar rahe hai woh acha hi hai aur aage jo karna hai woh humein ache se pata hai. Zyaada dimaag mat lagao (Improve the state of affairs in your country first. Keep your views to yourself. Whatever we are doing in our country is good for us and we know what we will do in the future too. You do not need to worry about that)”.
