Amidst the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan, Delhi Capitals batsman Shikhar Dhawan was at his honest best as he picked former Pakistani pacer Shoaib Akhtar as his all-time favorite bowler. During a rapid-fire interview with the Delhi Capitals, the Indian opener named Akhtar as his favorite.
When asked to pick a bowler he fears, Dhawan said, “Depends on which bowler is troubling you on a particular day”. During the rapid-fire session, Dhawan also talked about Delhi’s food, people and places he likes to visit in the capital.

The left-handed opening batsman, who has faced some hostile bowling in his career, also faced some interesting questions like, which role he would have liked to play if he was a movie star. Dhawan picked Rowdy Rathore character played by Akshay Kumar.
Dhawan during the interview also revealed that he doesn’t follow any particular superstition as such, but while entering the field of play he touches the boundary.
Dhawan will return to Delhi in the Indian Premier League 2019 (IPL). The left-hander was with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) from past few seasons. Ahead of IPL 2019, the Hyderabad-based franchise traded him in exchange of three players- Vijay Shankar, Shahbaz Nadeem and Abhishek Sharma from Delhi Capitals.

The southpaw has been struggling to post a big total on board for a long time. His last century came during the Asia Cup 2018 in UAE. Since then, he managed just two fifty-plus scores in the One-Day International format. During the five-match ODI series in New Zealand, he scored two fifties but failed to convert them into a big knock. Thus, the team management would love to see him among the runs again before the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 in England.
The 33-year-old batsman has played 143 in IPL and has scored 4058 runs thus far. Dhawan has scored 32 half-centuries in IPL and averages 33.26 with a strike-rate of 123.53. His highest score is unbeaten 95.
