Other countries like Malaysia, South Korea, Thailand, and many other South Asian countries are also burdened due to the spread of this disease.
The spread of this disease has also brought the sporting events across the globe to a standstill. India’s star-studded mega cricketing event the Indian Premier League has also been affected. Scheduled to begin on March 29, the tournament will now kick oof 2020’s start on April 15. Meanwhile, many cricket associations have mutually decided to cancel their ongoing bilateral series for player safety.

“I don’t understand why you have to eat things like bats, drink their blood and urine and spread some virus across the globe… I’m talking about the Chinese people. They have put the world at stake. I really don’t understand how can you eat bats, dogs, and cats. I’m really angry,” Akhtar said.
Pakistan has recorded 80 patients of coronavirus. India, on the other hand, has 83 cases as of now of coronavirus infected patients with 10 of them recovering.
“I’m not against the people of China but I’m against the law of animals. I understand this may be your culture but this is not benefitting you now, it is killing humanity. I’m not saying you boycott the Chinese but there has to be some law. You cannot go on an eat anything and everything,” Akhtar added.
Akhtar was also not happy with this outbreak causing the ongoing PSL matches to be played in empty stadiums given that it was the first time the whole tournament was being played in the country itself and the Pakistani people seeing their cricketing heroes.
