At 31 years old, Kohli has already named a whooping 70 centries in international cricket. The current India skipper racked up 43 hundred in One Day Internationals. While the other 27 have come in the longest format of the game. He is also the only batsman in world cricket to 50 plus average in all three formats.

Talking about the comparisons, Akhtar said that both the players played in a different era.  Terming Tendulkar to have played in the ‘toughest era of cricket’, Shoaib Akhtar also added how  Sachin would have notched over 1.30 lakh runs if he played now.

“Tendulkar batted in the toughest era of cricket. If he had to get the chance now, he may hit more than 1.30 lakh runs. So, it’s not good to make a comparison between Sachin and Kohli,” Shoaib Akhtar said.
