Former Pakistan fast bowler, Shoaib Akhtar said Team India proved “who is the boss” during the third and the final T20I against Bangladesh in Nagpur on Sunday. In his latest YouTube video, Shoaib Akhtar said India might have lost the first match but then stand-in captain Rohit Sharma played some dominating cricket in the second match and helped India level the series.

Akhtar also reckons Bangladesh is a team to beat now as they have improved their performances in the past few years.

In his video, Shoaib said, “India proved who is the boss in the match, they lost the first match against Bangladesh, but then when Rohit Sharma returned in the second T20I to play long innings, he’s a great talent, can score any time. In the third T20I, we expected it to be a good contest, though it was one, India came out as a much better side and hat’s off to Bangladesh.”

He further added, “Bangladesh is a team to beat, by the way, they are no ordinary side, this is not the same Bangladesh side which played 20 years ago. This is a side who will be challenging for you.”

Deepak Chahar took a hat-trick

Deepak Chahar, who had earlier scalped for Liton Das and Soumya Sarkar, delivered instantly in the 13th over and started the collapse. He finished with figures of 6/7 — the best in T20Is – and also became the second Indian to pick a hat-trick in the format.

Akhtar said, “He is a mix of medium pace and seam and he displayed a commendable performance by taking a hat-trick in the game.”
