Last week on his Youtube channel, Akhtar said, “Would he survive after saying something like that to me? Would I leave him? I would beat him up at the ground and then at the hotel.”

Revealing another musing story, Akhtar asserted that he broke Yuvraj Singh’s back, Shahid Afridi’s rib and ‘made Abdul Razzaq stretch his hamstring a bit too much’. During a BBC’s Doosra podcast, Akhtar revealed that sometime his style of showing affection would make him cross the line. The fiery pacer added that his way of ‘loving’ someone was ‘hard’ and acknowledge that he was simply stupid during his younger days.

Recalling the same, Akhtar said, “I don’t wrestle, it’s my way of showing my affection to other people and I basically crossed the line. When I like someone, I throw them. I broke Yuvraj’s back, have previously broken Shahid Afridi’s rib by hugging him, and I made Abdul Razzaq stretch his hamstring a bit too much. So my way of loving people is a bit wild. It was just me being stupid in my younger days but I never realized my own power.”

Earlier, after ICC postponed T20 World Cup and BCCI got a chance to host the IPL 2020 in UAE, Shoaib Akhtar alleged that the decision was influenced by the BCCI to fulfill their purposes.

Akhtar had said, “T20 WC and Asia Cup could have been played this year, this was a chance for India and Pakistan to play against each other but they let it go. There are a lot of reasons behind this I don’t want to go into details. T20 WC could have been played but I and Rashid have said this repeatedly that they won’t let it happen, it won’t happen. IPL shouldn’t get damaged, the T20 World Cup can go to hell. India needs to save cricket immediately otherwise it won’t affect my era.”
