Bangladesh batsman Sabbir Rahman, who has been dropped from the national squad for the Asia Cup 2018 has recently found himself into another controversy as the Pakistani all-rounder Shoaib Malik launched a lawsuit against the Bangladeshi cricketer, who allegedly teased his wife and Indian Tennis player, Sania Mirza, four years ago.
Sania, who has won multiple Grandslams traveled with Shoiab four years ago to Bangladesh to participate in a local tournament. If reports in Bangladesh media are believed to be true then Malik has launched a complaint against Rahman and has written a letter to the chairman of Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM).

This doesn’t come in as a great news for Rahman as he has been surrounded by a bunch of controversies in recent times. He is expected to be receiving a ban of around six months for his involvement in a Facebook controversy. A case has been registered on a Facebook account bearing his name, where he threatened a fan, who had posted some sarcastic memes mocking the cricketer.
After bearing so many controversies to his name, Sabbir might potentially face a lifetime ban as reported in of the Bangladeshi media houses. Although BCB hasn’t given any confirmation regarding the news, it has pretty much become the talking point in the entire country.
Rahman has represented his National side in 43 ODIs and 39 T20Is and is one of the leading run-scorers in T20 International cricket for England. Some harsh punishments are on cards for the discarded batsman given the allegations against him are proven to be true.
