On Friday, Bangladesh locked horns with Australia in the third T20 match of Australia’s tour of Bangladesh. In the last week or so, Bangladesh had not only beaten Australia thrice but also have put themselves in a position to win their first cricket series against the Aussies. A win in the third T20 ensured that Mahmudullah would be the first Bangla skipper to defeat Austto lift a trophy in front of Australia.

After a Nasum Ahmed show in the first T20, Afif Hossain and Nurul Hasan came up with match-winning performances for the hosts to win the second game. The Bangla bowlers performed impressively right through the series. They’ve exploited the conditions to get Australia on their knees time and again.

The only silver lining for Australia is Mitchell Marsh’s form as he scored The allrounder scored 45 runs and bowled one economical over against Bangladesh in the second T20. However, there was an incident between Shoriful Islam and Mitchell Marsh which garnered a lot of eyeballs.  The players indulged in an on-field personal battle.

A brilliant rivalry between two passionate cricketers, though the game ended in a win for Bangladesh yet again. They took an unassailable 3-0 lead in the series, with two more matches to go.
