Currently, the two losing teams Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are locking horns with each other at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. After winning the toss, the RR skipper, Ajinkya Rahane asked the visiting team to bat first. For RCB, the skipper Virat Kohli came out to bat with Parthiv Patel.

During the toss, Kohli revealed that they have made three changes in the squad as Shivam Dube, Prayas Ray Barman, and Colin de Grandhomme, made way for Akshdeep Nath, Navdeep Saini, and Marcus Stoinis. On the other hand, RR also made a couple of changes as injured Sanju Samson and Jaydev Unadakat made way for Stuart Binny and Varun Aaron.

RCB had a great start to their innings as they scored 48/0 after the powerplay overs. However, soon after that, they lost the l=plot as they lost two crucial wickets of Kohli and AB de Villiers in alternate overs.

On the third ball of the 7th over bowled by Shreyas Gopal, Kohli got clean bowled as he missed the googly as the ball was tossed up and wider, and Kohli reaches out for the cover drive, which left a huge gap for the ball to spin back through. A strange knock from Virat as he was anchoring the innings, but got out for 23 off 25.

In the next over of the Gopal, he got De Villiers as well. However, in the 8th over, Patel and De Villiers had smashed 16 runs off Varun Aaron. Shreyas bowled another wrong’un which was back of a length, and again the ball gripped the surface and stayed low as well and AB’s hurried effort to jam his bat down made him punch it firmly back to the bowler, at catchable height and Gopal made no mistake.

In the last season as well, Gopal got the wickets of Kohli and De Villiers in the same match.
