Shreyas Iyer Finds Unique Way Of Working On His Reflexes

The Indian middle-order batsman, Shreyas Iyer, who is spending most for his time at home due to the coronavirus lockdown, has found a new way of sharpening his reflexes with the help of his family members on Sunday. In a clip shared by the cricketer on his Instagram account, he is catching clothes to the remote of the TV. These objects are thrown by his family members, who intend to catch him unawares.

Shreyas also dives on the ground to catch an egg and also stopped chairs that were coming at him. Iyer is surely coming up with quirky ways to keep himself fit at home.

Iyer does a good job of managing to hold on to most of the objects hurled at him. Captioning the video, he wrote: “Fielding practice is everywhere you look.”

Iyer, who is the captain of the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise  Delhi Capitals (DC), was supposed to feature in the cash-rich IPL, which has now been postponed indefinitely in the wake of the pandemic that has brought most sporting events to a halt.

During the lockdown, most cricketers are chatting with fans and fellow cricketers to keep themselves busy. Some cricketers have also made generous financial donations towards the coronavirus relief fund.

Currently, India is going through a nationwide lockdown. Meanwhile, the number of coronavirus positive patients in India went past 42700 with almost 1400 people losing their lives on Saturday, as per the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).

Almost the entire is in a lockdown due to the scare of the ever-escalating situation concerning the World Health Organisation-recognized pandemic that is the Coronavirus. Everything- schools, colleges, airports, railway stations, gyms, sporting events, movies, offices- have been put under lockdown as the world continues to self-isolate in order to control the pandemic.
