Shubhman Gill is the latest Indian cricketer to receive his Covid-19 vaccine on Saturday. He shared this news on his Twitter account while urging others to ‘upgrade their superpower’ as soon as they can. He went on to praise doctors, medical staffs and frontline workers for fighting hard during this pandemic.
India is currently going through the second wave of Coronavirus and is producing a record number of cases every day. The death toll is also heavy and infected people are facing trouble with the lack of beds available and shortage of oxygen.

The Indian government has started the second phase of the vaccination drive by allowing 18 to 44 years old to get their first dose of vaccine. The registrations began on 28 April.
The Indian players are now getting vaccinated ahead of the forthcoming tour of the UK, where they will, first, feature in the final of the World Test Championship against New Zealand. England and India, then, will play a mouthwatering five-match Test series starting from August.
