India’s Test and ODI captain Shubman Gill has made a major lifestyle move off the field, buying a luxury apartment in Mumbai’s Juhu area for ₹20.7 crore. According to transaction documents accessed by Zapkey, the deal places Gill among the latest high-profile cricketers investing in one of the city’s most premium residential pockets.

The property is located on the 12th floor of the upcoming Pooja Luminaire project on Juhu-Tara Road. Gill paid ₹1.24 crore in stamp duty for the purchase, with the effective rate coming to around ₹61,442 per square foot. The project is part of a 16-storey development scheduled for completion in 2029, reflecting the continued demand for luxury homes in Mumbai’s western suburbs.

Gill reportedly purchased the apartment from Pooja Leisure and Lifestyle in December 2024. The company is promoted by film producer Vashu Bhagnani and his son Jackky Bhagnani. The transaction adds another big-name buyer to Juhu’s growing list of elite homeowners.

The timing of the purchase comes as Gill prepares to lead the Gujarat Titans in the upcoming Indian Premier League season, which begins on March 28. With his cricketing profile rising steadily, Gill’s latest real estate investment underlines his growing stature both on and off the field.

His move also follows a familiar trend among Indian cricketers, with several current and former players investing in Mumbai property. Names such as Rohit Sharma, Zaheer Khan and Suryakumar Yadav have already made similar choices in the city’s luxury market.
