Ahead of a historic moment for Indian cricket, members of the Indian men’s team have heaped praise on the Baroda Cricket Association Stadium as they gear up for India’s first-ever international match at the venue. In a video shared by the BCCI on Saturday, India captain Shubman Gill, along with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Prasidh Krishna, offered insights into the facilities and overall feel of the stadium. The players highlighted the modern infrastructure, spacious dressing rooms and world-class recovery areas, all of which have added to the excitement ahead of the series opener.

Fast bowler Prasidh Krishna spoke about the sense of familiarity the venue brought back for him. The Karnataka pacer recalled playing at the same ground during last season’s Vijay Hazare Trophy, where his state side enjoyed a dream run.

“About a year ago, we played the quarterfinal, semifinal and final of the Vijay Hazare Trophy here and went on to become champions. Coming back to this place brings back great memories, and I’m really excited,” Prasidh Krishna said.

Young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal was equally impressed, particularly by the outfield and support facilities. He also acknowledged Vadodara’s deep-rooted love for the game. “It’s a beautiful stadium. The wicket, outfield, dressing room and recovery areas are excellent. The people here are crazy about cricket, and that energy makes it special. I’m really looking forward to the challenge,” Jaiswal noted.
