Team India is facing another injury scare just a week before the much-anticipated Border-Gavaskar Trophy begins, as young batter Shubman Gill has reportedly sustained a finger injury during a training session in Perth. This injury adds to the growing list of concerns for the team, especially since KL Rahul is also rumored to be carrying an injury of his own.
According to a report by the Times of India, Gill injured his finger while fielding in the slips during a match simulation session on Saturday in Perth. The medical team is currently assessing his condition, but no official conclusion has been reached yet. A source quoted in the report stated, “Yes, Shubman Gill is injured, but it is too early to rule him out of the opening Test. The medical team is keeping a close watch on him.”
