Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill added a touch of humour to the Gujarat Titans’ dominant win over the Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2026 with a cheeky social media post after the match. Following GT’s commanding 77-run victory in Jaipur on Saturday, Gill took to X and wrote, “Pink city, blue result. Khamma Ghani,” playfully trolling the home side after a one-sided contest at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.

The GT skipper led from the front with a brilliant innings of 84 runs off just 44 deliveries, helping Gujarat post a massive total of 229/4 after being asked to bat first. Gill looked in sublime touch throughout his innings, smashing nine boundaries and three sixes while combining elegance with aggressive intent at the top of the order.
He also stitched together a superb 118-run opening partnership with Sai Sudharsan, who continued his impressive IPL 2026 campaign with a fluent 55 off 36 balls. The duo once again gave Gujarat Titans the perfect foundation in the powerplay before accelerating in the middle overs.

Interestingly, Gill later revealed that he had twisted his ankle during the innings but chose to continue batting despite the discomfort. “While taking a run, I think I twisted my ankle a little bit. It was painful. But after half an hour or so, it settled down,” Shubman Gill said during the post-match presentation.

The Gujarat Titans captain described the performance as the team’s most complete display of the season so far. Gill explained that the squad had discussed the need for a near-perfect performance ahead of the match, and he felt they finally delivered on that plan.
“Till now, I don’t think we had played a perfect match. This was a clean win for us. We probably scored 10-15 extra runs on a surface where hitting boundaries consistently wasn’t easy,” he added.

GT backed up their batting dominance with a clinical bowling display, bowling the Rajasthan Royals out for just 152 in 16.3 overs. Rashid Khan starred with the ball, finishing with figures of 4/33, while Jason Holder chipped in with three wickets. Gill also praised the aggressive approach of Mohammed Siraj and Kagiso Rabada with the new ball, saying early wickets helped Gujarat control the game from the beginning.
