In a cricket match, more often than not a captain plays a role in a team winning the game, especially while defending a target. And, in the match between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), when Virat Kohli decided to hand the ball to left-arm spinner Shahbaz Ahmed and it turned out to be a masterstroke. Ahmed scalped 3 wickets in the 17th over of the SRH innings, and also gave away just a single run.
It was Ahmed who turned the fortunes of the match in favor of the RCB. And now, Simon Katich has revealed that it was Virat Kohli’s gut feeling that prompted the RCB side to give the ball to Ahmed. Katich concluded by stating that Kohli deserves a lot of credit for taking this decision and going by his instincts.
