The second T20I between India and Sri Lanka is scheduled to be played on Tuesday at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Having registered a 38-run win over  Sri Lanka in the first T20I, Shikhar Dhawan-led Indian side will be eyeing to seal the series by winning the second T20I on Tuesday. It is yet to be confirmed whether Prithvi Shaw and Surya Kumar Yadav – who have been named as replacements in the Virat Kohli-led Indian Test team in England – will take part in the remaining two T20Is or not.

The likes of Devdutt Paddikal, Ruturaj Gaikwad, or Nitish Rana will stand a chance to make it into the team in case the duo misses out. On the opposite, the host Sri Lanka has no room for making mistakes in the last couple of matches and will be looking to bounce back on Tuesday to level the series.

The 165 runs target in the series opener was a chaseable target only if the Sri Lankan batters had played sensibly and showed some intent. Apart from Charith Asalanka’s brilliant knock of 26-ball 44, none of the other batsmen managed to pose a threat to the Indian bowling attack. The host Sri Lanka will have to come up with an improved show on Tuesday in order to avoid the series loss.

Here are some fantasy XI predictions for the game:

Wicket-Keepers

ishan kishan
Ishan Kishan

Ishan Kishan seems to be a better pick as he has been known for making a strong comeback and he will be much more effective on pitches in Colombo. However, for the hosts, Minod Bhanuka will be keeping the wickets, but to maintain the balance of the Fantasy XI, Ishan seems to be the better pick.

Batsmen

Shikhar Dhawan, Suryakumar Yadav, Charith Aslanka, and Avishka Fernando have always been the prime contenders for fantasy cricket. Even, Prithvi Shaw also is added in fantasy cricket and that will depend on the balance of the XI. Apart from them, there are some useful batsmen in the line-ups as well, like Ashen Bhandara, and Manish Pandey.

All-rounder

Hardik Pandya
Hardik Pandya has started bowling again

There are some really reliable all-rounders in both teams but citing the pitch in Colombo, Hardik Pandya, Wanindu Hasaranga, and  Chamika Karunaratne seems to be the perfect fit. Apart from them, the good all-rounders for fantasy cricket are Dhanajaya de Silva and Krunal Pandya.

Bowlers

Both the teams don’t have decent bowling line-ups but they don’t have practiced a lot. Bowlers like  Isuru Udana, Dushmantha Chameera, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar become the obvious choices for the Fantasy XI on the dusty track at the Wankhede Stadium. Apart from them, some crucial bowlers can be like, Kuldeep Yadav, Deepak Chahar, and Akila Dhananjaya.

Fantasy Suggestion 1:

Ishan Kishan, Avishka Fernando, Dasun Shanaka, Shikhar Dhawan, Suryakumar Yadav (c), Dhananjaya de Silva, Hardik Pandya, Deepak Chahar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Dushmantha Chameera, and Yuzvendra Chahal (vc).

Fantasy Suggestion 2:

Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan (vc), Avishka Fernando, Shikhar Dhawan (c), Charith Asalanka, K Pandya, W Hasaranga, C Karunaratne, Yuzvendra Chahal, Deepak Chahar, Dushmantha Chameera
