There was a lot of rumor going around the toss during India vs Sri Lanka lone T20I. The mix up was led to the blame given to presenter Murali Karthik and Andy Pycroft for being irresponsible and not reporting the confusion the very instant.

Sri Lanka Cricket confirmed that  Andy Pycroft, the match referee, made the right call. Though this created a lot of confusion and talked about, SLC took to their twitter handle to create the confusion.

The post read:“#SLvInd T20I Match Referee Andy PYCROFT called it correctly – “Heads India”. Watch the video” SLC said on its official Twitter handle.

“We are confirming PYCROFT called correctly – we’ve enhanced the audio and confirmed, and the captain too has confirmed,” A Top official told Cricket Age.

“The Reason for PYCROFT looking confused according to ICC is that Virat should tell him the decision first but Karthik goes on to interview” source further added.

If we witness the video we see that it’s perfectly fine that both presenters called it correctly. But it’s the captain who wins who should let know the decision first to the referee but they headed straight to the interview with the presenter.

The footage led to so much confusion because the audio wasn’t very audible in the middle. The toss could be a deciding factor on a certain day, especially in T20 cricket with the rain trying to discontinue the game.

But SLC cleared that the toss had nothing to do with the loss but still fans are not happy as they think SLC is just trying to satisfy BCCI and the referees. The fans are already upset with their team’s performance and such a distress will cause more depression. Lankans visit India again later this year to play a test series.
