The current champions are Adelaide Strikers in the WBBL, but they made a huge change by signing Indian super opener and vice-captain Smriti Mandhana for their 10th season. Mandhana will join a squad that already included her fourth. She is famous for her aggressive batsmanship and leadership skills. From the two-time WBBL champions, she was formerly a pre-debut signing, she will be an added punch in the team’s squad.

Mandhana is supposed to bolster the Strikers, aiming to keep their hard-fought title after having lifted the championship for the first time in the eighth season and successfully defensing it last season. The WBBL Draft is scheduled for Sunday, September 1, and the Strikers will initiate their campaign against Brisbane Heat at Adelaide Oval on October 27.
