The fiery Indian opener, Smriti Mandhana has emerged as one of the most talented cricketers on the international stage. She has elevated the standards of Indian women’s cricket through her batting forte. At such a young age, she has shattered numerous records. Recently, she became the second-fastest Indian to amass 2000 runs in ODIs.

Mandhana took 51 matches to reach the landmark of 2,000 ODI runs, becoming the third-fastest woman after the likes of Belinda Clark and Meg Lanning to reach the landmark. She has smashed 2,025 runs in 51 ODIs at an average of 43.08, including four centuries and 17 fifties in her ODI career. Opener Shikhar Dhawan is the only other Indian cricketer apart from Mandhana to hold the record of the fastest Indian to score 2,000 runs in ODIs.

Before starting the session, she clarified that her teammate Jemimah Rodrigues has forced her to do this. she was flooded with questions as soon as she started the session. She also revealed her crush. Mandhana responded that Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan is her crush ever since she was 10 years old.

After failing to score several injuries, Mandhana bounced back on the stage by playing a match-winning knock of 74 runs off 63 balls in the third ODI against West Indies, steering India to a 2-1 series win. India had already gained a lead of 2-0 in the ongoing five-match T20I series against West Indies. The Harmanpreet Kaur and her team will be eager to continue their winning momentum for the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in February in Australia.
