Their combined efforts propelled Goa to a staggering total, compiling 727 runs for just two wickets in only 92 overs, maintaining a formidable run rate of 7.90. Captain Darshan Misal eventually declared the innings, setting up a lead of 643 runs. The duo’s record-setting performance began after Bakle partnered with Suyash Prabhudessai, who contributed 73 off 64 balls, for an initial 109-run stand.

After Prabhudessai’s dismissal, Kauthankar joined Bakle at the crease, and the two never looked back, etching their names in Ranji Trophy history with this exceptional feat. Adding to Goa’s dominance, all-rounder Arjun Tendulkar, son of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, delivered a stellar bowling performance.

This impressive spell bundled Arunachal Pradesh out for a mere 84 runs in 30.3 overs, leaving Goa in a commanding position. Mohit Redkar also contributed with three wickets, further consolidating Goa’s stronghold in the match. This historic partnership and Tendulkar’s bowling mastery have positioned Goa as firm favorites in this Plate League clash.
