Indian and Pakistani players have always been known for having a rich history over the years. 38-year-old Pakistani bowler Sohail Khan recently came forward to reflect on his heated argument with Virat Kohli during the 2015 ODI World Cup. When India faced Pakistan in the 2015 ODI World Cup, Sohail Khan was one of the players from Pakistan who had an excellent performance in that game.

The right-arm fast bowler conceded 55 runs and took five wickets in the match. It was, however, not enough to save his team from defeat, as Virat Kohli was the star of the match with his knock of 107 runs.

In the match, Virat Kohli and Sohail Khan got into an argument when Sohail came up to bat. Sohail Khan said in Nadir Ali podcast about the incident, “Virat Kohli came to me and told me I talk too much despite being a newcomer to the team. I told him ‘son, when you were playing for India U19, I was playing Test cricket for Pakistan’ (beta jab tu U19 khelta tha, tera baap Test cricketer tha). I have been playing Tests for Pakistan since 2006, and then I got injured.”

An international match between India and Pakistan is always a spectacle to watch. Most recently, the teams faced each other at the T20 World Cup, and the star of the match was once again Virat Kohli. He played a phenomenal knock of 82 runs in 53 balls to secure the win for India in what seemed to be a very tough match to win.

One of the highlights of the match was Kohli’s six against Haris Rauf in the 19th over of the game. The match is still remembered for Kohli’s heroics that day. In such a crunch moment, Kohli hit back-to-back sixes to Rauf at the end of the 19th over.

Sohail Khan also came forward to talk about that particular moment. He said, “Virat Kohli’s six to Haris Rauf was not a difficult shot to hit. He just made room for himself and hit it straight. It was bowled at a hard length, and he could have hit it toward cover too. It was a good shot on a good ball.”
