Sourav Ganguly Celebrates 51st Birthday With Warm Wishes From Cricketing Fraternity

On the occasion of Sourav Ganguly’s 51st birthday, wishes have poured in from the cricketing community, with former teammates and current cricketers extending their greetings to the former India captain. Former all-rounder Yuvraj Singh took to Twitter to wish Ganguly, playfully mentioning their pranks together.

“When you’re planning the next prank with dada without him knowing that he is the one who will actually be pranked. Happy birthday #dadi! Loads of love always @SGanguly99,” Yuvraj tweeted.

Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav also expressed his birthday wishes to Ganguly on social media. Ganguly had served as the Director of Cricket for Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2023.

“Wishing you a very happy birthday, Dada @SGanguly99. May God forever bless you with good health and lots of happiness,” Kuldeep tweeted.

Former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer acknowledged Ganguly’s contribution in taking Indian cricket to new heights while sending his wishes. “This Jersey, this era will always be special for Indian cricket fans. Happy Birthday to the man who led India to new heights during this era. Wish you a wonderful year full of happiness and good health Dada @SGanguly99,” Jaffer tweeted.

 

Indian wicket-keeper Dinesh Karthik also joined in wishing Ganguly on his 51st birthday, referring to him as a legendary cricketer and a remarkable leader.

“Many happy returns of the day to a legendary cricketer and a remarkable leader, @SGanguly99. Wish you the best always, Dada!,” Karthik tweeted.

Ganguly, who captained India in 195 matches across all formats, achieved success in 97 of them. After retiring from the game, Ganguly took up significant roles in cricket administration, serving as the President of the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB), the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), and currently, as the Director of Cricket for the Delhi Capitals in the IPL.
