Former India captain and ex-BCCI President Sourav Ganguly narrowly avoided an accident on Thursday, February 20, while travelling to Burdwan for an event. The incident occurred on the Durgapur Expressway near Dantanpur when a lorry suddenly overtook his Range Rover, forcing the driver to brake abruptly. This led to a minor collision among the convoy of cars following him.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the damage to the vehicles was minimal. This near-miss comes just a month after Ganguly’s daughter, Sana, was involved in an accident in Kolkata when a bus reportedly hit her car on Diamond Harbour Road. Thankfully, she escaped unhurt, with only slight damage to her vehicle.
Sourav Ganguly was en route to Burdwan University, where he attended an event and interacted with students and staff. He spoke about the future of Indian cricket and shared anecdotes from his illustrious career.
