On the day two of the ongoing Melbourne Test between Australia and India, the Bollywood movie “Mirzya” star Saiyami Kher shared her view on the Indian innings and the former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly felt impressed on it.
The track of Melbourne Cricket Ground has once again taken the centre stage of the game. On the challenging batting track, India scored 443/7 in their first innings before their declaration. Indian batsmen Cheteshwar Pujara (106 runs) and the skipper Virat Kohli (82 runs) led the side for a challenging first innings total.
During India’s innings on the day two, Saiyami Kher, who made her Bollywood debut with the “Mirzya” movie in 2016, shared her view about that innings on her official Twitter account.
She tweeted, “A rock solid century by #Pujara that’s anchored our innings & a great 82 of a different kind from #Kohli . When he goes past 50 one always assumes he’ll get a 100. The bounce is starting to get erratic. Is 420-430 a good 1st innings score? #INDvAUS”

Many people don’t know that Saiyami was a cricketer at her early age and even once she was considered for the selection in the Indian women’s cricket team. Playing the state level cricket for Maharashtra, Saiyami was the pace bowler. Though she is not participating in the professional level, she plays the game every Sunday.
In fact, Saiyami is the total sports freak. Through the sports quota, she got the admission at St Xavier’s College, Mumbai and played nine sports for the college. Apart from cricket, Saiyami was also a national level badminton player. In fact, badminton was the main reason why she didn’t continue her cricketing career despite she was called for the national team. During a Junior National tournament, she played against Saina Nehwal, the present badminton star of the nation.
Saiyami made her debut in the Indian movie in 2015 with the Telugu movie “Rey”. Later in 2016, she made her Bollywood debut in “Mirzya” and in this year (2018), she made her Marathi movie debut in “Mauli”.
