Sourav Ganguly To Play The Charity Match Of Legends League Cricket

Former Indian skipper, Sourav Ganguly is ready to take the field again with the bat after almost seven years. Ganguly had his last competitive match about seven years ago, but now he will be seen playing in the second edition of the Legends League Cricket. According to the recent reports, the LLC has so far confirmed the names of 53 players.

These include names like Eoin Morgan, Virender Sehwag, Muralitharan, Misbah-ul-Haq, Jonty Rhodes, Mitchell Johnson, Brett Lee, Shane Watson, Ross Taylor and Dale Steyn.

Tweeting about the participation of Sourav Ganguly, Legends League Cricket tweeted: “The legacy of Dada @SGanguly99 will continue as he takes on the field once again to play for a social cause at llc20 with the Legends from across the world. He’s gearing up for it. The #Boss is back. Wait for more soon. @DasSanjay1812 #bosslogonkagame #legendsleaguecricket”.

Legend League Cricket will be commencing on September 17 to October 10. League matches will be held in 8 cities comprises of Kolkata, Lucknow, Delhi, Jodhpur, and Rajkot and Cuttack will be held in any one city. If the government approves, then Pakistani players will also be seen playing in this league.

The first season of the tournament was played in Muscat in January earlier this year. Then three teams took part in the tournament. These teams were India Maharajas, World Giants and Asia Lions. Seven matches were played between the teams. Mohammad Kaif led the Maharaja, while Darren Sammy was the captain of the Giants. The Lions were led by Misbah.

Apart from Indian female player Jhulan Goswami, Amitabh Bachchan was the brand ambassador of the league. Ravi Shastri is the commissioner of the league, while Wasim Akram is a member of the Apex Council. This league, which took place in January, was seen very loudly. And the fans were very happy to see the former cricketers.
