Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) fast bowler Spencer Johnson delivered a stunning blow to Rajasthan Royals (RR) by castling Jofra Archer in match six of IPL 2025 at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati. The Australian pacer unleashed a 135 kmph delivery that pitched on a good length and sent Archer’s off-stump cartwheeling in the final over.

It was a thrilling end to RR’s innings, leaving them at 151/9 after being invited to bat by KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane. Before his dismissal, Archer had given RR a late boost, smashing 16 runs off just six balls, including two massive sixes. Walking in at number nine with RR struggling at 131/7, Archer’s brief but impactful cameo raised hopes of crossing the 150-run mark.

However, Johnson’s precision cut short that ambition, making it a memorable moment for the Aussie quick as he claimed his lone wicket of the evening. KKR’s bowlers put up a well-rounded performance.

Vaibhav Arora, Moeen Ali, and Varun Chakravarthy grabbed two wickets each, while Harshit Rana also picked up a brace, including the crucial scalps of Dhruv Jurel and Shimron Hetmyer. Their combined effort kept RR’s batters in check, not allowing any substantial partnerships to flourish.

For Rajasthan Royals, Dhruv Jurel was the top scorer, crafting a composed 33 off 28 deliveries with five stylish boundaries. Despite Jurel’s resistance, the Royals couldn’t build momentum, relying heavily on Archer’s late fireworks to post a respectable total.
