The Eliminator match of the Legends League Cricket 2023, held on Wednesday between Gujarat Giants and India Capitals, is grabbing attention for the wrong reasons. Former India cricketers Gautam Gambhir and Sreesanth found themselves embroiled in a heated exchange during the match, particularly after the sixth over of the first innings when Gambhir struck three boundaries in the initial two overs bowled by Sreesanth.

The verbal altercation escalated to the point where umpires and teammates had to intervene to separate the two cricketing personalities. The aftermath saw Sreesanth taking to social media, uploading a video immediately after the match, referring to Gambhir as ‘Mr. Fighter’ and later accusing him of labeling him a ‘fixer’.

In a recent development, Sreesanth commented on a photograph shared by Gambhir on Thursday, where the latter is seen smiling in the Indian jersey. Responding to the post captioned ‘Smile when the world is all about attention!’, Sreesanth accused Gambhir of crossing the boundaries of sportsmanship.

In his comment, Sreesanth wrote, “You have exceeded the boundaries of a sportsman and a brother, and above all, you represent the people. Yet, you continue to engage in conflicts with every cricketer. Until yesterday, I always held respect for you and your family. However, you used the derogatory term “fixer” not just once, but seven or eight times. Anyone who has experienced what I have endured would never forgive you. Im sure even God wont forgive you.”

He questioned Gambhir’s habit of engaging in conflicts with various cricketers, challenging whether Gambhir considers himself above the Supreme Court to brand him a ‘fixer’. Additionally, Sreesanth criticized Gambhir as ‘arrogant and utterly classless’ for his use of explicit language directed at both Sreesanth and the umpires during their on-field clash.
