SRH Gets A Team Hat-trick In The Final Over Against GT

The 62nd game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 is currently taking place between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Narendra Modi International Stadium in Ahmedabad. Earlier in the game, the visitors won the toss and opted to field first. After taking the first wicket in the first over, nothing went their Sunrisers Hyderabad as Shubman Gill (101) and Sai Sudarshan (47) played staggering knocks and it seemed that GT would post a big total.

However, the Aiden Markram-led side pulled things staggering well. They kept chipping in with wickets at regular intervals and then in the last over of innings they did the major damage. Sunrisers Hyderabad took a team hattrick as they managed to restrict Gujarat Titans to a total of 188 runs.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar began the proceedings after he got the wicket of Shubman Gill on the first ball of the over and then followed it with the wicket of Rashid Khan on the second ball. Although he didn’t manage a personal hat trick, a run out on the third ball saw SRH taking a team hat trick.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar however, was not done he then removed Mohammed Shami as well to complete his 5-wicket haul. Notably, he removed Wriddhiman Saha in the first over. He returned with the figures of 5/30 and helped his side forge a great comeback. Gujarat Titans batter Shubman Gill was the star of the innings for his side.

The batter played some enthralling strokes and continued his golden touch in the league.  He smashed his maiden ton in the tournament and also completed 1000 runs for the franchise. Shubman Gill ended with the knock of 101 runs in 58 balls. He batted with a strike rate of 174.14 and smashed 13 fours and 1 six in his innings. His ton helped GT post a total of 188/9.
