Indian captain Virat Kohli had a memorable day in the Green Park during final ODI match versus New Zealand. He scored yet another ton in the match, which helped India to reach a big total of 337.

First thing first, Kohli overtook his personal record of most runs in a calendar year and now he has 1,460 at an average of 76.84 in 2017. Earlier, his personal best came in 2011, when he managed 1,381 runs across 34 ODI matches.

Afterwards, he became fastest ever batsman to score 9,000 One-Day International runs by achieving this landmark in 194 innings, where previous record-holder AB de Villiers reached there in 205 outings. In the process, Rohit and Kohli shared a 230-run stand for the second wicket, their fourth in this format, and now they hold the record for most double hundred run stand with in the ODI cricket.

Also, Indian skipper surpassed Ricky Ponting to become the highest run-scorer as captain in ODI cricket. Meanwhile, Kohli raised his bat to celebrate 32nd ODI ton, which was his sixth in year 2017 and 10th as captain.

This was Kohli’s 49th International hundred across all-formats, thus he overtakes legendary Rahul Dravid, who has 48 centuries to his name.
