‘Stay order secured against supposed biopic on my life’ – Former Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar

Players and biography go hand in hand and so far we have already seen a lot of biographies made on various sportspersons. However, there has been a long-time discussion that a biopic is being made on the former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar. But when it comes to movie making, several controversies have been taking place related to the production and related rights of the movie in concern as well. And the pace bowler is seemingly not happy about a biopic being made on him without his due approvals as well.

However, he came forward to announce that he has obtained a restraining order against the production of his supposed biopic. Akhtar also shared his concern over the continuous filming efforts of a certain group as well. Moreover, he shared a legal notice warning the individuals who are involved about the illegality of their actions and the potential consequences for their reputations as well.

It is also noteworthy that, back in January, Akhtar had already said that he was not going to be a part of the biopic and he has also warned the filmmakers that if they proceed with the biopic without his permission, he will certainly take legal action against them.

And, with his successful legal action, Shoaib Akhtar has added his rights and stopped the production of the unauthorized biopic as well. The incident shows the importance of respecting someone’s consent and legal agreements when representing their life story onscreen as well.
