Steve Smith’s remarkable catch dismissed Virat Kohli, putting India at a disadvantage once again. With Kohli’s departure, Indian hopes suffered a setback, and shortly after, Boland claimed the wicket of Ravindra Jadeja, caught behind. Boland enticed Kohli with a fuller delivery outside off stump, tempting him into a powerful drive.

Unable to resist, Kohli went for the shot but was ultimately beaten by the pace, resulting in an outside edge that flew between the gaps of the second and third slip.

Steve Smith, alert in the slips, swiftly moved to his right and cleanly caught the ball mid-air. The catch held significant importance for Australia, as different outcomes at that moment would have had a substantial impact in the result of the game. Virat Kohli fell agonizingly short of his half-century, departing on 49. Nevertheless, his innings had provided hope for India’s pursuit of a substantial run chase.

India needed 280 runs on the final day of the Test match, and Australia gave India 444 runs to chase. Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane with their 71 runs unbeaten partnership in the last hour of day 4 brought India back in the contest. Scott Boland has picked up 3 wickets so far in the 2nd innings. Half of the Indian batting is out under 200 runs score. Ajinkya Rahane and KS Bharat are fighting hard against the Australian pace attack.

After Kohli’s dismissal like this, the fans were furious and they trolled him fiercely on Twitter.
