Still no decision over new contracts says CK Khanna

The acting President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) CK Khanna made it clear that the decision over salary hike of Indian Cricketers is yet to be finalized. As per reports, the board agreed to increase the income of players by 100 percent.

He said “Everything is still under discussion. Nothing is finalized. There are chances of having another set of meetings over pay hike proposal. As of now, BCCI acting treasurer Anirudh Chaudhry is working on the draft proposal. It will be discussed in BCCI Finance Committee and in SGM.”

According to current central contract, the players listed in grade ‘A’ get rs 2 crore, while grade ‘B’ earns 1 crore per annum. The last category of grade ‘C’ receives 50 lakh as their salary to represent the nation.

The Times of India revealed it earlier that CoA has accepted Virat Kohli s proposal to increase the payments of Indian players. The highlight of this resolution was balance in salaries.
