Yesterday, the boy from Delhi lighted up the IPL as he blasted 128 runs not out against Sunrisers Hyderabad and broke a plateful of records. He notched up the highest score by an Indian batsman in the T20s and also became the second youngest batsman for scoring a century. Appreciation for Pant’s magnificent innings came from all quarters of the nation and the Bollywood was not behind.
One of the famous names that came forward to appreciate the youngster’s efforts was the actor Suniel Shetty. The Bollywood actor took to Twitter with an appreciation tweet and asked the Indians selectors to take note of this special talent.

Suniel Shetty has always been a sports enthusiast. He plays cricket himself and has captained one of the teams in Celebrity Cricket League. He even posted back to back tweets during the Commonwealth Games, congratulating every Indian winner. Yesterday, however, it was Pant’s innings that stole his attention and he tweeted in awe of the Keeper.

In the 2018 IPL season, Rishabh Pant has not only been the highest run-getter for Delhi Daredevils but he is also leading the chart in the Tournament. In the 11 matches so far, he has scored 521 runs at an average of 52.10 with a strike rate of 180. His runs include three half-centuries and now a humongous century too.

Pant also became the Orange cap holder after this innings. When asked about his knock during the break, he said, “I was just trying to see the ball and hit it cleanly. Took my time early on and things worked out well.”
