Legendary Indian cricketer, Sunil Gavaskar has urged Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper, MS Dhoni to bat higher in order to give himself more time and make a difference for his side in the IPL 2023. CSK will host Rajasthan Royals (RR) in a high-voltage clash on Wednesday, after winning the previous away game in style at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. Dhoni, who has been the team’s captain since the first season, will soon lead CSK against RR at Chepauk for the record 200th time.

During a chat on Star Sports, Sunil Gavaskar said, “I am hoping MS Dhoni promotes himself higher in the batting order. So that he gets to play more than two or three overs in the games. He can make that difference for CSK with his batting because he is capable of scoring big runs.”
