Legendary Indian cricketer, Sunil Gavaskar on Friday showered praises on the young Indian wicket-keeper batsman, Rishabh Pant for the way he got to his 3rd Test hundred and said that this is what bold India is. Pant was batting on 94 when he went down on one knee to smash the English skipper, Joe Root for a six over square leg to complete his third Test century. With it he got to his 3rd Test century and most importantly got India to a good lead against England on Friday.
Talking about the same during a chat on Star Sports, Sunil Gavaskar said, “It has come at such a crucial time for India. You asked me a question about what you think he is going to do and I said that he will get to his hundred with a six, and that’s exactly what he has done. This is bold India, this is India that believes in itself. Look at that, look at the way he has given joy to those at the ground, to the millions watching this on television. Oh, this is amazing. This is so wonderful.”
