The match, which seemed all but lost for India at the start of Day 5, turned into a memorable comeback thanks to a spirited bowling display. England resumed needing just 35 runs with four wickets in hand. However, Mohammed Siraj produced a fiery spell, finishing with 5/104, while Prasidh Krishna provided excellent support with figures of 4/126.

The duo turned the game on its head, bowling England out and sealing India’s narrowest-ever Test win by runs. Mohammed Siraj’s match figures of 9/190 earned him the Player of the Match award. He also finished the series as the leading wicket-taker with 23 wickets in nine innings.
