On Monday Legendary Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar seems unhappy with Ravindra Jadeja’s ban for the third and final Test of the series against Sri Lanka. He said that the umpires and the match referee overreacted on the issue.
Jadeja recently became the No.1 Test all-rounder after being was adjudged Man-of-the-Match for his five-wicket haul and an impressive and 70 not out off just 85 balls in the second Test. He played a crucial role in India’s win by an innings and 53 runs on Sunday.

However, Jadeja admitted his fault for which he was banned by on-field umpires Bruce Oxenford and Rod Tucker, third umpire Richard Illingworth and fourth umpire Ruchira Palliyaguruge.
During an exclusive chat with the NDTV, Sunil Gavaskar said, “Jadeja’s one-match ban was over reaction from umpires and match referee. I’m very happy that ICC has been tightening up on all of these issues about the Code of Conduct on the field. But, I think this one was a bit of an overreaction.”
A day later, Jadeja lashed out on the decision by posting a picture, which read “Hum sharif kya hue puri duniya hi badmash ho Gayi.”
