The 17th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) showcased stellar performances from cricketers worldwide, making the selection of the tournament’s top players a daunting task. Yet, legendary Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar rose to the challenge, crafting his IPL 2024 dream team with a mix of domestic talents and international stars, including five overseas players, three of whom hail from the West Indies.
Leading Sunil Gavaskar’s star-studded lineup is none other than batting maestro Virat Kohli, who not only secured the Orange Cap for the second time in his career but also captivated audiences with his awe-inspiring performance, amassing a staggering 741 runs from 15 matches. Joining Kohli at the top of the order is the dynamic Sunil Narine, whose all-round brilliance earned him the title of Most Valuable Player, having amassed 488 runs and claimed 17 wickets.
In the middle order, the Gujarat Titans’ Sai Sudharsan and Rajasthan Royals’ skipper Sanju Samson provide stability and firepower, with Samson’s impressive tally of 573 runs pivotal in guiding his team to Qualifier 2.
