However, Umran Malik has been doing exceptionally well for the Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2022 and has dominated the opponents with his pace and accuracy. Sunil Gavaskar was impressed with Umran Malik and said during a conversation on Star Sports, “Umran Malik has been very, very impressive with his speed but more than his speed, it’s his accuracy (that’s impressed). A lot of guys who bowl at that speed tend to spray the ball around but Umran bowls very few wide deliveries.”

“If he can control the wides down the leg side, he will be a tremendous bowler because that will mean he’ll be attacking the stumps all the time, and with his pace, it’s not easy to hit straight. If he bowls wicket-to-wicket, he’s going to be pretty much an unplayable bowler. He’s going to play for India” Sunil Gavaskar added further.

Umran Malik returned with 4-1-28-4, including a three-wicket maiden in the 20th over. He was recently interviewed by the Times of India, where he revealed what makes him satisfied with his extreme pace to which he gave a beautiful reply. As per the quotes in TOI, Umran Malik said, “I love to castle batsmen. I love to hit batsmen on their helmets too. One, I feel that I’ve beaten the batsman with my pace, and secondly, once the batsman is scared, he doesn’t try to hit you.”
