EXACTLY half a decade ago, Pakistan and Australia were involved in super over match at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The match went down to the wire so much so that a Pakistan victory came on the last ball of the super over encounter.
Pakistan had won the first T20I by 7 wickets. With this victory, they had gained an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. Mohammad Hafeez, the then Pakistan captain, had won the toss and chose to bat. Pakistan scored a decent 151-4 in 20 overs. Nasir Jamshed was the pick of the Pakistani batsman as he had scored 45 (36) with the help of four fours and a six. For Australia, Mitchell Starc, Daniel Christian, Shane Watson and Pat Cummins had picked up a wicket each.
Despite a quick start by their openers, Australia kept losing wickets at regular intervals, scoring 151-8 in 20 overs. George Bailey, the then Australian captain, top-scored with 27-ball 42.
