The 15th season of the Indian Premier League saw a new champion in the form of the debutants Gujarat Titans. Two of the most successful teams in the history of IPL, Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings played really poor cricket and were ousted from the tournament pretty early. CSK didn’t have one of their most bankable players, Suresh Raina, as he was not retained by the franchise.

Now, Suresh Raina’s cryptic tweet is creating a lot of hullabaloos amongst the netizens. ‘Chinna Thala’ as Raina is fondly known amongst the Chennai fans was released by the Yellow Camp as they only retained MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, Moeen Ali, and Ruturaj Gaikwad before IPL 2022 started.

Many of the old players were bought back by the franchise but unfortunately, Raina was not one of them. The southpaw is in news again as Suresh Raina’s cryptic tweet on CSK’s post has now gone viral. Chennai Super Kings tweeted a picture of Suresh Raina with his stats in one of the qualifiers they played against Punjab Kings (then Kings XI Punjab) in the year 2014.

Raina clobbered the PBKS bowlers left, right, and center and scored a whopping 87 runs off just 25 deliveries. This was certainly a whirlwind inning by the former CSK batsman which CSK appreciated in their post. On the same post, came Suresh Raina’s cryptic tweet which excited the fans.

Suresh Raina’s cryptic tweet contained his Avatar emoji with a call sign and the fans opine that Suresh Raina wants CSK to buy him next year in the IPL. Raina was one of the most consistent players for CSK and backbone of their middle order. He is still the highest run-scorer for the franchise with 5529 runs in 195 innings. The batsman has played over 200 matches which makes him one of the most seasoned players of the tournament.
