Renowned cricketer Suresh Raina has embarked on a new venture as a restaurateur. On June 23, he delightedly announced the opening of his Indian restaurant in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Known for his love of food, Raina’s aim is to bring the authentic and diverse flavors of India to Europe through his latest establishment, Raina Indian Restaurant.
In an Instagram post, Raina expressed his enthusiasm for this culinary adventure. Alongside the post, he shared captivating photos of the restaurant and offered a glimpse into his time spent in the kitchen, showcasing his passion for cooking. The restaurant, he explained, is a heartfelt tribute to the rich and varied culinary tapestry of India.

Raina Indian Restaurant’s menu provides a tantalizing insight into Raina’s vision of celebrating India’s culinary treasures. The starters section offers a delightful array of choices, including Chicken Chaat, Mix Pakora, Zaituni Paneer Tikka, Tandoor Chicken Tikka, Onion Bhaji, and various Kabab varieties.
To capture the essence of Old Delhi, Raina has introduced a special section called “Snacks (Chandni Chowk),” featuring iconic dishes such as Dahi Bhalla, Pani Puri, Chaat Papri, Aloo Chaat, and piping hot Samosas.

The menu’s “Tandoor” section boasts an enticing selection of smoky delicacies, including Tandoori Chicken, Tandoori Lobster, Tandoori Paneer Tikka, Fish Tikka, Soya Chaap, and more. Of course, there is also a wide range of delectable curries to choose from, including Lamb Rogan Josh, Prawn Mango Curry, Fish Coconut Curry, Butter Chicken, Mutton Korma, and Jhinga Masala.

The restaurant offers a range of prices to accommodate various budgets, with the cheapest dish being Raita priced at 1.49 euros (Rs 132), while the costliest item is the Tandoori Lobster from the food section, priced at 24.5 euros (Rs 2,183).
It’s worth noting that Suresh Raina frequently visits Amsterdam, as his wife Priyanka has previously worked in a bank in the city. Amsterdam holds special significance for the couple, as they have also celebrated important occasions there, such as Priyanka’s birthday.
