Suresh Raina Shares The Story Behind His Blissful Marriage

The UAE leg of Indin Premier League (IPL) 2021 will be commencing on September 19 wherein the opening clash will take place between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians. Ahead of the beginning of the Indian T20 league, CSK has come up with a mini-series called ‘Super Couple’ wherein Suresh Raina and his wife Priyanka Chaudhary Raina are featured as first guests.

The show interviews cricketers and their wives on various aspects of life. In the same chat, Suresh Raina unveiled bout his six years of marriage with Priyanka and how they met for the first time. Relling his first meeting with his wife, Raina added that Priyanka used to come to his home on various occasions as cricketer’s elder brother used to teach her. However, Raina went to boarding school later.

The story further developed when Suresh Raina was once coming back from Australia in 2008 and met Priyanka at the airport. It was since then their relationship turned into a marriage and now the couple is blessed with one daughter and son, named Gracia and Rio, respectively.

While the interview was on, Priyanka silently listened to Suresh Raina and maintained a subtle smile on her face. Later, even she went on to confirm that how blessed she is to have such a great family.

Suresh Raina’s wife told that the last six years have been blissful for both of them as they welcomed their second child last year only. As both of them belong to different backgrounds, she added that initially, they found it a bit difficult for them to get along with each other. Priyanka concluded by adding that Raina might be one of the best finishers in Indian cricket but for her, he is a ‘great husband and father.’

It must be noted that Suresh Raina pulled out of the 2020 season of the IPL due to some personal reasons but returned for the 2021 season. He has messed 123 runs for the yellow army in the Indian leg of IPL and will be seen flaunting his class in the UAE leg now.
