Suryakumar Yadav, who captained India to their T20 World Cup 2024 victory after Rohit Sharma’s departure, is relishing his role as the leader of the Indian cricket team. His next challenge comes with the white-ball tour against England, where India will host the English side for a multi-format series starting January 22.
While the squad for the series has not yet been announced, Yadav is expected to lead India in the T20I series, which will consist of five matches. With some downtime before he reunites with the national team, Suryakumar has taken the opportunity to spend some quality time with his family. He and his wife, Devisha Shetty, were recently spotted at the Sai Baba Temple in Shirdi, Maharashtra, seeking blessings.
A video of their visit, posted on January 9, went viral on social media, showing the couple being accompanied by a couple of police officers for security as they took part in the religious occasion.
