The flamboyant Indian batter, Suryakumar Yadav confirms that the premier fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is fully fit and will be available for selection in the 2nd T20I of the three-match series against Australia. India’s death bowling in the first T20I against Australia in Mohali raised quite a few questions. With no Jasprit Bumrah, India’s frailties with the ball were laid bare as Australia shot down the 209-run target.  Harshal looked jaded in his comeback game and conceded 49 runs in his four overs.

Talking about the comeback of Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel, Suryakumar Yadav said, “Everyone is fit and ready to play, including Jasprit Bumrah. Thoda injury se aaya hai, itna toh benefit banta hai (Cut him some slack, he is coming back after the injury).”

He further added, “It is difficult to read Harshal’s slower ball and variations. Whatever I have faced him in the nets, I can assure you guys that he is not predictable at all. He is very deceptive. He has been working really hard on his bowling.”

After the loss in the opening game, all-rounder Hardik Pandya said that the team management didn’t want to rush Jasprit Bumrah back after the injury. India’s aggressive approach helped them a lot in the series opener as India posted a 208 for 6 total even though the top order batters Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were dismissed in the powerplay itself.

Elaborating the same Suryakumar Yadav said, “Everyone is playing their role; they know their responsibility and what they want to do in the different situations. Openers know their role very well. Then it comes to the middle order on how we set up the game, and it was finished really well by the finishers. Everything went according to plan, and we will try to do the same thing again and again in the future.”

Suryakumar Yadav says he is happy to bat at No.4 and at the same time he acknowledged that he is very flexible and is ready to bat anywhere.
